Narrative:
On jul/mon/06; at approximately XA00-XB00 local time; denver international airport stopped accepting arrival aircraft due to windshear alerts and thunderstorms. Several aircraft were forced to hold at skeed intersection. Additionally; the southeast arrival route was impassable due to WX. These aircraft were rerouted to the southwest arrival route; with the understanding that 15 mit would be provided. It was not. What other factors contributed to this lack of spacing are unknown by me at this time but a couple of possibilities are: 1) lack of vision or direction by the traffic management unit; and 2) lack of initiative on the part of supervisors at the first level. Without me giving my best effort; this situation could have been extremely unsafe.

Title: ZDV CTLR DESCRIBED SITUATION WHEN HE OR SHE WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE REQUESTED 15 MIT DUE TO WORKLOAD AND WX FACTORS.
Narrative: ON JUL/MON/06; AT APPROX XA00-XB00 LCL TIME; DENVER INTL ARPT STOPPED ACCEPTING ARR ACFT DUE TO WINDSHEAR ALERTS AND TSTMS. SEVERAL ACFT WERE FORCED TO HOLD AT SKEED INTXN. ADDITIONALLY; THE SE ARR RTE WAS IMPASSABLE DUE TO WX. THESE ACFT WERE REROUTED TO THE SW ARR RTE; WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT 15 MIT WOULD BE PROVIDED. IT WAS NOT. WHAT OTHER FACTORS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS LACK OF SPACING ARE UNKNOWN BY ME AT THIS TIME BUT A COUPLE OF POSSIBILITIES ARE: 1) LACK OF VISION OR DIRECTION BY THE TFC MGMNT UNIT; AND 2) LACK OF INITIATIVE ON THE PART OF SUPVRS AT THE FIRST LEVEL. WITHOUT ME GIVING MY BEST EFFORT; THIS SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY UNSAFE.
