Narrative:

First leg of 3 day. I was PF. Landed runway 6L in day VFR conditions. Turned off and told to hold short of runway 6C. We had mentioned the goofy hold short lines at cle before we landed. I hadn't held short of the center runway before. I was more focused on the standard hold short line next to the runway and my position still on runway 6C and sighted the near hold short line last. Ground then told us to hold short of the closest line and we came to a stop about 5 ft over the near line. An rj was on takeoff roll on runway 6R. Ground didn't have a problem with our hold short position. Just stay alert; it's a tight space and things happen fast. Supplemental information from acn 703308: on downwind to runway 6L at cle I reminded the captain of the abnormal hold short lines in between the runway 6C and runway 6R. After landing on runway 6L we were cleared to cross runway 6C and hold short runway 6R and stay with tower. We cleared runway 6L and the captain called for 'flaps up;' I began my flow and cleared runway 6C. About halfway across runway 6C tower told us to hold short of runway 6R at the first hold short lines. I rogered the tower's instructions and turned my attention to the front of the aircraft. I sensed the captain not slowing down and say 'this one; this one; this one.' he came to a complete stop in between the 2 hold short lines. After stopping I looked down runway 6R and saw an rj rotating for takeoff. Once the aircraft was by us; the tower cleared us to cross runway 6R to the gate. The tower never mentioned that we crossed the line; nor were we asked to call the tower. I should have stepped on the brakes! I know these markings have been brought to our attention in the past; but they are abnormal; they look normal until you're right on top of them. Put the hot spot circles in red on the 10-9 page.

Title: A B737-700 CROSSED A HOLD SHORT LINE AT CLE BUT STOPPED SHORT OF THE RWY.

Narrative: FIRST LEG OF 3 DAY. I WAS PF. LANDED RWY 6L IN DAY VFR CONDITIONS. TURNED OFF AND TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 6C. WE HAD MENTIONED THE GOOFY HOLD SHORT LINES AT CLE BEFORE WE LANDED. I HADN'T HELD SHORT OF THE CTR RWY BEFORE. I WAS MORE FOCUSED ON THE STANDARD HOLD SHORT LINE NEXT TO THE RWY AND MY POS STILL ON RWY 6C AND SIGHTED THE NEAR HOLD SHORT LINE LAST. GND THEN TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT OF THE CLOSEST LINE AND WE CAME TO A STOP ABOUT 5 FT OVER THE NEAR LINE. AN RJ WAS ON TKOF ROLL ON RWY 6R. GND DIDN'T HAVE A PROB WITH OUR HOLD SHORT POS. JUST STAY ALERT; IT'S A TIGHT SPACE AND THINGS HAPPEN FAST. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 703308: ON DOWNWIND TO RWY 6L AT CLE I REMINDED THE CAPT OF THE ABNORMAL HOLD SHORT LINES IN BTWN THE RWY 6C AND RWY 6R. AFTER LNDG ON RWY 6L WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS RWY 6C AND HOLD SHORT RWY 6R AND STAY WITH TWR. WE CLRED RWY 6L AND THE CAPT CALLED FOR 'FLAPS UP;' I BEGAN MY FLOW AND CLRED RWY 6C. ABOUT HALFWAY ACROSS RWY 6C TWR TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 6R AT THE FIRST HOLD SHORT LINES. I ROGERED THE TWR'S INSTRUCTIONS AND TURNED MY ATTN TO THE FRONT OF THE ACFT. I SENSED THE CAPT NOT SLOWING DOWN AND SAY 'THIS ONE; THIS ONE; THIS ONE.' HE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP IN BTWN THE 2 HOLD SHORT LINES. AFTER STOPPING I LOOKED DOWN RWY 6R AND SAW AN RJ ROTATING FOR TKOF. ONCE THE ACFT WAS BY US; THE TWR CLRED US TO CROSS RWY 6R TO THE GATE. THE TWR NEVER MENTIONED THAT WE CROSSED THE LINE; NOR WERE WE ASKED TO CALL THE TWR. I SHOULD HAVE STEPPED ON THE BRAKES! I KNOW THESE MARKINGS HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO OUR ATTN IN THE PAST; BUT THEY ARE ABNORMAL; THEY LOOK NORMAL UNTIL YOU'RE RIGHT ON TOP OF THEM. PUT THE HOT SPOT CIRCLES IN RED ON THE 10-9 PAGE.
