Narrative:
Shortly after takeoff (approximately 1000 ft) from runway 18R in tpa; gear up but flaps still in position 1; we got several seemingly unrelated ecams; both master cautions and master warnings. Ecams were intermittent and we could not actually run any of the ecams because they appeared/cleared rapidly. Decided to divert; gave attendants a cabin advisory and told them to expect a normal landing. First officer ran overweight landing checklist. Aircraft systems appeared normal; aircraft flew normally. Landed at 145.0 pounds. All ecams had cleared except brakes system 1 fault. Landing; rollout; and taxi were normal. Upon landing; flight attendant at 1L told us she smelled a rubbery smoke smell about the time she heard all the warnings in the cockpit. After block-in; a passenger in row 2 also said he smelled a strong smoke odor. I asked him to describe it; and he said it could be burning insulation. Passenger deplaned normally; dispatch and maintenance were notified.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A320 FLT CREW HAS MULTIPLE ECAM WARNINGS; MASTER CAUTION AND WARNING DURING DEP FROM TPA; FUMES IN THE CABIN; ACFT DIVERTS FOR LNDG.
Narrative: SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF (APPROX 1000 FT) FROM RWY 18R IN TPA; GEAR UP BUT FLAPS STILL IN POS 1; WE GOT SEVERAL SEEMINGLY UNRELATED ECAMS; BOTH MASTER CAUTIONS AND MASTER WARNINGS. ECAMS WERE INTERMITTENT AND WE COULD NOT ACTUALLY RUN ANY OF THE ECAMS BECAUSE THEY APPEARED/CLRED RAPIDLY. DECIDED TO DIVERT; GAVE ATTENDANTS A CABIN ADVISORY AND TOLD THEM TO EXPECT A NORMAL LNDG. FO RAN OVERWEIGHT LNDG CHKLIST. ACFT SYSTEMS APPEARED NORMAL; ACFT FLEW NORMALLY. LANDED AT 145.0 LBS. ALL ECAMS HAD CLRED EXCEPT BRAKES SYSTEM 1 FAULT. LNDG; ROLLOUT; AND TAXI WERE NORMAL. UPON LNDG; FLT ATTENDANT AT 1L TOLD US SHE SMELLED A RUBBERY SMOKE SMELL ABOUT THE TIME SHE HEARD ALL THE WARNINGS IN THE COCKPIT. AFTER BLOCK-IN; A PAX IN ROW 2 ALSO SAID HE SMELLED A STRONG SMOKE ODOR. I ASKED HIM TO DESCRIBE IT; AND HE SAID IT COULD BE BURNING INSULATION. PAX DEPLANED NORMALLY; DISPATCH AND MAINT WERE NOTIFIED.
