Narrative:
During climb out fro ZZZ; right oil quantity decreased to 'zero;' oil temperature exceeded normal parameters and smoke entered cockpit and cabin requiring engine shutdown. Single engine approach and landing accomplished in accordance with checklist procedures. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the oil loss was caused by a scavenge pump failure. No difficulties were encountered after the engine was shut down and the approach and landing went smoothly.

Title: B757 CREW EXPERIENCES ENG FAILURE ON DEP AND RETURNS FOR LNDG.
Narrative: DURING CLBOUT FRO ZZZ; R OIL QUANTITY DECREASED TO 'ZERO;' OIL TEMP EXCEEDED NORMAL PARAMETERS AND SMOKE ENTERED COCKPIT AND CABIN REQUIRING ENG SHUTDOWN. SINGLE ENG APCH AND LNDG ACCOMPLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHKLIST PROCS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE OIL LOSS WAS CAUSED BY A SCAVENGE PUMP FAILURE. NO DIFFICULTIES WERE ENCOUNTERED AFTER THE ENG WAS SHUT DOWN AND THE APCH AND LNDG WENT SMOOTHLY.
