Narrative:

Aircraft arrived at gate and was scheduled for a daily inspection; as well as several other tasks. I assisted with the daily inspection by servicing the engines with oil. The aircraft departed. When the aircraft returned; it was discovered that the oil service door had come open on #2 engine; and damaged the engine bay door. The flight crew did not note any abnormalities during the turnaround.

Title: A B737-200 WAS DISPATCHED WITH THE #2 ENG OIL SVC DOOR NOT PROPERLY CLOSED AND LATCHED. DOOR OPENED INFLT DAMAGING ADJACENT SVC DOOR.

Narrative: ACFT ARRIVED AT GATE AND WAS SCHEDULED FOR A DAILY INSPECTION; AS WELL AS SEVERAL OTHER TASKS. I ASSISTED WITH THE DAILY INSPECTION BY SVCING THE ENGS WITH OIL. THE ACFT DEPARTED. WHEN THE ACFT RETURNED; IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE OIL SVC DOOR HAD COME OPEN ON #2 ENG; AND DAMAGED THE ENG BAY DOOR. THE FLT CREW DID NOT NOTE ANY ABNORMALITIES DURING THE TURNAROUND.
