Narrative:
Encountered wake turbulence over jetsa at 5.5 mi behind a heavy B757 on ILS approach to runway 24R at lax. Aircraft rolled 30 degrees to the right and autoplt could not control the aircraft. Disconnected the autoplt to recover and ATC subsequently broke us out for another approach. Increase spacing requirements behind heavy aircraft.
