Narrative:
The left engine il service door came off in-flight. Before the flight; I performed an oil check. Although I signed the work; I did not do the service of the engine oil. Another mechanic assisting with the aircraft did the servicing. I did; however; notice that the access door was closed.

Title: AN EMB145 WAS DISPATCHED AFTER L ENG OIL SVC. OIL SVC DOOR DEPARTED THE ACFT INFLT.
Narrative: THE L ENG IL SVC DOOR CAME OFF INFLT. BEFORE THE FLT; I PERFORMED AN OIL CHK. ALTHOUGH I SIGNED THE WORK; I DID NOT DO THE SVC OF THE ENG OIL. ANOTHER MECH ASSISTING WITH THE ACFT DID THE SVCING. I DID; HOWEVER; NOTICE THAT THE ACCESS DOOR WAS CLOSED.
