Narrative:

On aug/xa/06 I was assigned to work on aircraft X to help with the center automatic fuel boost pump shutoff modification. I am an a&P; not an right&east. Very little instruction was given. Work was done with reference to the available work package. Inadvertently a pin connector was installed where a receptacle should have been installed. The same problem has been discovered on other aircraft as well. I have been informed that a 'caution' has been added to the work package at the step for the receptacle installation to help clarify this part of the modification.
