Narrative:
Flight attendants called below 7000 ft and stated that they had a strong odor of burning plastic and/or electrical smell in the aft cabin area. They called again and indicated that it was worse. Crew declared an emergency; accomplished the smoke in cabin emergency checklist and diverted due to CAT I restr on aircraft due to no autothrottles. Landed at approximately 134000 pounds with 300 ft rate of descent at touchdown.

Title: A JET TRANSPORT EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL OR PLASTIC BURNING ODOR IN THE CABIN. THEY DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED TO THEIR TKOF ALTERNATE.
Narrative: FLT ATTENDANTS CALLED BELOW 7000 FT AND STATED THAT THEY HAD A STRONG ODOR OF BURNING PLASTIC AND/OR ELECTRICAL SMELL IN THE AFT CABIN AREA.
