Narrative:
On preflight I found the thunderstorm light coming on when circuit breaker light switch was turned on and circuit breaker light coming on when thunderstorm light switch was turned on. The mechanic found the wires hooked up to the wrong lights. This is the second time I have found the same problem and both aircraft had come back from our maintenance base. I feel that this is a major problem with the maintenance being done there and think the FAA should be informed.
