Narrative:

We were issued a clearance to cross spica intersection at 12000 ft and 250 KTS. The first officer was flying and I was working the radio; executing checklists and copying the ATIS. It was bumpy so I had delayed copying the new ATIS. I was monitoring the descent and thought we were doing ok. As I finished copying the new ATIS I looked to see that we were descending very slowly and that it appeared we were now not going to cross spica as assigned. We crossed spica at 13000 ft and 280 KTS. I talked to the first officer about what happened and he mentioned that he was tired and just not as sharp as he could be. I was also not as sharp as I could be either. This was day #5 of duty for me and day #6 on duty for the first officer.
