Narrative:
Flight released brakes for departure and jetway struck engine #1. Captain asked me to disarm door 1L and crack it. I did exactly that and another flight attendant witnessed me disarming and confirms; slide light was off; arm indicator retracted and arming lever in disarmed position. Then I cracked the door and advised captain that door was now open at least 12 inches. Then he told me to close the door again. When I tried to close the door I had a very hard time doing so; so I asked positive space pilot to help me. He could not close it either and then I tried to close it again and the next thing I saw was the door swing open and the slide deployed.
