Narrative:
I performed the final signoff on log page for sheet metal repair at sta 312s22r; which included edge seal and paint. All other portions of log page were per crew write-up. At the time of signing off log page I was unaware of a discrepancy of the air carrier effectivity in the structural repair manual that was used for reference.

Title: A B737-500 HAD A FUSELAGE SKIN REPAIR THAT WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH THE INCORRECT STRUCTURAL REPAIR MANUAL REF.
Narrative: I PERFORMED THE FINAL SIGNOFF ON LOG PAGE FOR SHEET METAL REPAIR AT STA 312S22R; WHICH INCLUDED EDGE SEAL AND PAINT. ALL OTHER PORTIONS OF LOG PAGE WERE PER CREW WRITE-UP. AT THE TIME OF SIGNING OFF LOG PAGE I WAS UNAWARE OF A DISCREPANCY OF THE ACR EFFECTIVITY IN THE STRUCTURAL REPAIR MANUAL THAT WAS USED FOR REF.
