Narrative:
Following through service brake change the mechanic doing the rii incorrectly circled the item not requiring inspection in the logbook. Reviewed gpm rii section. Factors marked 'other' did not apply to the event. This error was a result of not having the proper rii information at the time of signing for the work.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED AFTER A BRAKE WAS CHANGED. THE BRAKE WAS A REQUIRED INSPECTION ITEM AND WAS NOT INSPECTED.
Narrative: FOLLOWING THROUGH SVC BRAKE CHANGE THE MECH DOING THE RII INCORRECTLY CIRCLED THE ITEM NOT REQUIRING INSPECTION IN THE LOGBOOK. REVIEWED GPM RII SECTION. FACTORS MARKED 'OTHER' DID NOT APPLY TO THE EVENT. THIS ERROR WAS A RESULT OF NOT HAVING THE PROPER RII INFO AT THE TIME OF SIGNING FOR THE WORK.
