Aircraft airbus A330; serial number X; operated by air carrier from ZZZ airport to ZZZZ; returned to ZZZ after 50 mins of flight due to engine #2 N1; N2 and egt oscillation and engine power reduction by flight crew. Corrective actions: engine #2 (model CF6-80e1a3); electronic control unit; permanent magnet alternator and wiring (reference 4258KS; 4256KS and 4261KS) were replaced according to airbus amm (aircraft maintenance manual). Engine run up test performed ok and aircraft released for service.
