Narrative:

After approximately 45 mins on auxiliary tanks experienced fluxing fuel pressure. Left engine ran rough; changed to main fuel and boost pump on; no low fuel light. As left engine was coming back up; right engine started to fail. Changed to main fuel tank and boost pump on; right engine came up and power. Some altitude loss approximately 300-400 ft and some direction control approximately 1/2 mi from course. We were back on course in approximately 30 seconds. Cleared direct. No more fuel problems. On arrival at ZZZ and next day maintenance pulled auxiliary sump drains and found some 2-3 oz of muddy grit and water. Advised owner to have all sumps and screens cleaned.
