Narrative:

The FAA continues to short staff facilities and in an effort to operate in a 'business-like' manner just fails to properly staff shifts and/or portions of shifts. The longer this goes on; the greater the chances of an accident or incident occurring. The more overworked controllers are; the more tired they get; and it just increases the opportunities for errors to occur. Without the resources of a ground controller or an arrival data controller during busy periods of traffic; the controllers working are left with no resources to assist in ensuring an incident or accident does not occur.
