Narrative:
New routing was issued by previous sector. Due to limitations of the 'new' atops system; the flight plan did not update to my sector. Fortunately; traffic was slow and no loss of separation occurred. However; the aircraft was 60 mi off course.

Title: ZNY CTLR EXPRESSED CONCERN REGARDING THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE ATOPS EQUIP.
Narrative: NEW ROUTING WAS ISSUED BY PREVIOUS SECTOR. DUE TO LIMITATIONS OF THE 'NEW' ATOPS SYS; THE FLT PLAN DID NOT UPDATE TO MY SECTOR. FORTUNATELY; TFC WAS SLOW AND NO LOSS OF SEPARATION OCCURRED. HOWEVER; THE ACFT WAS 60 MI OFF COURSE.
