Narrative:
Postflt inspection in pns revealed that the panel located on the bottom of the fuselage just aft of the main landing gear had become lodged diagonally and mostly vertically into the fuselage opening that it is supposed to cover; presumably while in-flight. Lower fuselage panel was not reinstalled properly after maintenance performed in that compartment. This condition was not detected during the preflight inspection as per aom.
