Title: A B737-800 DURING A MODIFICATION UNITS RELATED TO AUTOLAND STATUS WERE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED. UNITS WERE SELF-TESTED BUT NO AUTOLAND TEST WAS PERFORMED.
Narrative: AUTOLAND ITEMS REMOVED FOR OTHER MAINT. WINGTIP MODIFICATIONS ARE NOT SPECIFICALLY LISTED AS AUTOLAND SENSITIVE; NOR ARE THE OPS CHKS. AVIONICS PERSONNEL ON THE DOCK ARE NOT AUTOLAND QUALIFIED ON THE B737. AVIONICS DOES NOT HAVE AN AVIONICS LEAD TECHNICIAN. ALERTED LEAD TECHNICIAN ASSIGNED AND FELLOW WORKERS.
