Narrative:
I am a lead technician on B737 winglet modification. I am a structure lead technician and have avionics guys assigned to my crew which I am required to assign work to them. Some of the avionics mechanics that signed off lower minimum performance checks that were not qualified. Have asked supervisor to get an avionics lead over this crew. Contributing factor: nothing noted. I was not aware that the amt's may or may not have been qualified. My shop steward previously provided information to our union leaders to verify the need for additional leads.
