Narrative:
At gear retraction struck 4 birds pigeon to duck size. One in nose cone with severe damage and one under first officer's window. The one under the first officer's window was ingested in right engine. 2 in leading edge left wing. Smelled a hot burning smell in air conditioning and returned to land at dfw. An uneventful but overweight landing at 131000 pounds was completed. All aircraft system indicated and operated normally. Taxied to gate with no injuries.

Title: ACR CREW RPTS MULTIPLE BIRD STRIKES ON DEP FROM DFW AND RETURNS.
Narrative: AT GEAR RETRACTION STRUCK 4 BIRDS PIGEON TO DUCK SIZE. ONE IN NOSE CONE WITH SEVERE DAMAGE AND ONE UNDER FO'S WINDOW. THE ONE UNDER THE FO'S WINDOW WAS INGESTED IN R ENG. 2 IN LEADING EDGE L WING. SMELLED A HOT BURNING SMELL IN AIR CONDITIONING AND RETURNED TO LAND AT DFW. AN UNEVENTFUL BUT OVERWT LNDG AT 131000 LBS WAS COMPLETED. ALL ACFT SYS INDICATED AND OPERATED NORMALLY. TAXIED TO GATE WITH NO INJURIES.
