Narrative:
After we clear for a visual approach to runway 16L; just outside the marker we had TCAS traffic and then RA monitor vertical speed climb. An rj on the approach to runway 16R; I had the aircraft in sight all the time. First officer (PNF) initiated a go around ATC advised. The rj continued the approach for runway 16R. Supplemental information from acn 724383: while on a visual approach to runway 16L. Both captain and I observed an rj flying south towards den at approximately same altitude and slightly behind us. As we joined the localizer we received 2 TCAS RA's to 'adjust vertical speed.' after the second RA not sure if the captain had the traffic in sight and there not being enough time to discuss whether he did or not I became uncomfortable with distance the rj was to our aircraft. I (first officer) took the aircraft by pushing the red and followed the RA instructions. We did a go around and returned for a normal landing.

FO (PNF) INITIATED A GAR ATC ADVISED. THE RJ CONTINUED THE APCH FOR RWY 16R. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 724383: WHILE ON A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 16L. BOTH CAPT AND I OBSERVED AN RJ FLYING S TOWARDS DEN AT APPROX SAME ALT AND SLIGHTLY BEHIND US. AS WE JOINED THE LOC WE RECEIVED 2 TCAS RA'S TO 'ADJUST VERT SPD.' AFTER THE SECOND RA NOT SURE IF THE CAPT HAD THE TFC IN SIGHT AND THERE NOT BEING ENOUGH TIME TO DISCUSS WHETHER HE DID OR NOT I BECAME UNCOMFORTABLE WITH DISTANCE THE RJ WAS TO OUR ACFT. I (FO) TOOK THE ACFT BY PUSHING THE RED AND FOLLOWED THE RA INSTRUCTIONS. WE DID A GAR AND RETURNED FOR A NORMAL LNDG.
