Narrative:

Airport diagrams in atl designate ILS holding areas and runway holding points for several runways; but diagram does not specify which runway the points are for. In a few cases it is obvious; but in others it is not; for example the holding points between runway 26L and 26R. These points came into question when runway 26L was closed and traffic was taxiing to runway 26R for takeoff. Runway 10/28 has two turnoffs that appear to be high speed turnoffs on the airport diagram; but in actuality have sharp bends to negotiate when utilized. Do they meet criteria for high speeds and/or are they designated properly?callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter clarified some aspects of this report. The main concern is about the 'runway approach area holding point' on taxiway B between runways 26L and 26R does not indicate which runway is intended; or whether it applies to both 26L and 26R. An additional point is that the area over and near the I-285 taxiway is sufficiently confusing that it should be a warning instead of a caution.

Title: AN ACR PLT NOTES THAT THE ATL COMMERCIAL ARPT CHART DOES NOT DEPICT THE RWY APCH AREA HOLDING POINT AS APPLICABLE TO EITHER RWY 26L OR 26R.

Narrative: AIRPORT DIAGRAMS IN ATL DESIGNATE ILS HOLDING AREAS AND RUNWAY HOLDING POINTS FOR SEVERAL RUNWAYS; BUT DIAGRAM DOES NOT SPECIFY WHICH RUNWAY THE POINTS ARE FOR. IN A FEW CASES IT IS OBVIOUS; BUT IN OTHERS IT IS NOT; FOR EXAMPLE THE HOLDING POINTS BETWEEN RUNWAY 26L AND 26R. THESE POINTS CAME INTO QUESTION WHEN RWY 26L WAS CLOSED AND TRAFFIC WAS TAXIING TO RWY 26R FOR TAKEOFF. RUNWAY 10/28 HAS TWO TURNOFFS THAT APPEAR TO BE HIGH SPEED TURNOFFS ON THE AIRPORT DIAGRAM; BUT IN ACTUALITY HAVE SHARP BENDS TO NEGOTIATE WHEN UTILIZED. DO THEY MEET CRITERIA FOR HIGH SPEEDS AND/OR ARE THEY DESIGNATED PROPERLY?CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR CLARIFIED SOME ASPECTS OF THIS REPORT. THE MAIN CONCERN IS ABOUT THE 'RWY APCH AREA HOLDING POINT' ON TXWY B BETWEEN RWYS 26L AND 26R DOES NOT INDICATE WHICH RWY IS INTENDED; OR WHETHER IT APPLIES TO BOTH 26L AND 26R. AN ADDITIONAL POINT IS THAT THE AREA OVER AND NEAR THE I-285 TXWY IS SUFFICIENTLY CONFUSING THAT IT SHOULD BE A WARNING INSTEAD OF A CAUTION.
