Narrative:

RNAV GPS D into ege. PNF was familiar with approach; PF was not. Planned approach (lda) was changed at the last minute to the GPS. PNF mistakenly briefed a descent to 12000 ft after rlg VOR (should have stayed at 14000 ft). A double-check was made and was determined that the aircraft should have remained at 14000 ft until kimbl. We were now descending out of 12600 ft. We had the airport in sight; so we called it; were cleared for the visual; climbed to 13000 ft and continued without incident. WX was cavu.

Narrative: RNAV GPS D INTO EGE. PNF WAS FAMILIAR WITH APCH; PF WAS NOT. PLANNED APCH (LDA) WAS CHANGED AT THE LAST MINUTE TO THE GPS.
