Narrative:
We began the inspection process for a dash 8 Q-400 crew seat that was removed from aircraft for c-chk inspection. After cleaning the seat assembly we noted that the r-hand brace was not secured to the RAIL gripper. The brace and RAIL attaching hardware at the opposite side was found loose as well. At this time this component is undergoing a full inspection per the cmm (component maintenance manual) and mpm (maintenance procedures manual) c-chk requirements before return to service.
