Narrative:
We were allowed to leave the deice pad with snow on the aircraft. We were at the beginning of the takeoff roll I was increasing N1 to 40%. I heard over the tower frequency; someone say something unintelligible about our company. Later; in flight; I asked the first officer if he had heard something. He said that he heard what he assumed was the air carrier jet on the taxiway (leaving their remote deice area); say; 'doesn't our company have to take snow off their roof.' the assumption here is that we were the company the air carrier pilot was referring to; and that if he was able to see 'snow on our roof' it would seem we were not adequately de-iced; even though we had left the remote de ice pad with a fresh application of type-1 and type-4. We did receive the required communication from the ground personnel; including the post de-ice confirmation that the aircraft was clean. To my knowledge this was not a non adhering snow day.

Narrative: WE WERE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE DEICE PAD WITH SNOW ON THE AIRCRAFT. WE WERE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TAKEOFF ROLL I WAS INCREASING N1 TO 40%. I HEARD OVER THE TOWER FREQUENCY; SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING UNINTELLIGIBLE ABOUT OUR COMPANY. LATER; IN FLIGHT; I ASKED THE FO IF HE HAD HEARD SOMETHING. HE SAID THAT HE HEARD WHAT HE ASSUMED WAS THE ACR JET ON THE TAXIWAY (LEAVING THEIR REMOTE DEICE AREA); SAY; 'DOESN'T OUR COMPANY HAVE TO TAKE SNOW OFF THEIR ROOF.' THE ASSUMPTION HERE IS THAT WE WERE THE COMPANY THE ACR PLT WAS REFERRING TO; AND THAT IF HE WAS ABLE TO SEE 'SNOW ON OUR ROOF' IT WOULD SEEM WE WERE NOT ADEQUATELY DE-ICED; EVEN THOUGH WE HAD LEFT THE REMOTE DE ICE PAD WITH A FRESH APPLICATION OF TYPE-1 AND TYPE-4.
