Narrative:
Inadvertently installed XXXX rivets when the engineering order calls for YYYY rivets. While performing heavy weight modification on aircraft X frame 49 left service bulletin and engineering order there are rivets required in the upper area of that frame. I removed the nominal rivets; and reinstalled nominal rivets in that area of frame 49LT. I misread the sections of the service bulletin and engineering order which affected frame 49LT area.

WHILE PERFORMING HVY WT MODIFICATION ON ACFT X FRAME 49 LEFT SVC BULLETIN AND ENGINEERING ORDER THERE ARE RIVETS REQUIRED IN THE UPPER AREA OF THAT FRAME. I REMOVED THE NOMINAL RIVETS; AND REINSTALLED NOMINAL RIVETS IN THAT AREA OF FRAME 49LT. I MISREAD THE SECTIONS OF THE SVC BULLETIN AND ENGINEERING ORDER WHICH AFFECTED FRAME 49LT AREA.
