Narrative:
On approach to ZZZ PF was unable to gain thrust with the left (#1 engine). Left engine was not responding to advancement. Single engine procedures and all checklists were accomplished. So close to ZZZ airport we were vectored for visual runway 24L. Passenger were briefed and flight attendant was given directions and information. Landed without any further incident. Taxied to gate. Passenger were deplaned at jetbridge. Emergency was declared and priority given with approach.

Title: A CRJ-200 FLT CREW EXPERIENCED AN ENGINE FAILURE DURING APPROACH. THEY DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND CONTINUED THE APPROACH TO A NORMAL LANDING.
Narrative: ON APCH TO ZZZ PF WAS UNABLE TO GAIN THRUST WITH THE L (#1 ENG). L ENG WAS NOT RESPONDING TO ADVANCEMENT. SINGLE ENG PROCS AND ALL CHKLISTS WERE ACCOMPLISHED. SO CLOSE TO ZZZ ARPT WE WERE VECTORED FOR VISUAL RWY 24L. PAX WERE BRIEFED AND FLT ATTENDANT WAS GIVEN DIRECTIONS AND INFO. LANDED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENT. TAXIED TO GATE. PAX WERE DEPLANED AT JETBRIDGE. EMER WAS DECLARED AND PRIORITY GIVEN WITH APCH.
