Narrative:

Loss of intermediate turbine blades. Broken fuel lines. Engine went to idle with no throttle response. Declared emergency. First officer PF; captain pilot monitoring. Engine failed to respond when leveling off at 12000 ft. Exercised throttle and determined we had no control over left engine. All engine parameters normal at this time. Declared emergency.
