Narrative:
We departed on the kennedy 1 departure breezy point climb. I was PF. I executed the turn toward the cri VOR inside 039 degree radial and turned inside the cri VOR as I have seen others do with no comment from ATC. In this situation ATC advised us that he had heard that the company was advising us to turn early and that this was not correct. Apparently several company crews have made the same error. He further advised us that by cutting the corner we were in danger of catching the previous departure.
