Narrative:

Given a heading to intercept the runway 28L ILS; we were told earlier that we were going to fly the FMS to runway 28R. I was attempting to install the runway 28L approach in the FMS; with head-dead down; the co-pilot dipped down to 8700 ft momentarily; then corrected back to 9000 ft. No loss of separation was noted by ATC and we were shortly cleared to 4000 ft. Rest of the flight was uneventful.
