Narrative:
Nearing leveloff at FL280; we experienced a strong airframe vibration at 310 KIAS. Slowed to 280 KTS and vibration stopped. No further occurrence. Followed SOP. Landed normally. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: company maintenance is are aware of the problem; and the rudder bearing hinge plates are being replaced as a preventative measure.

Title: A319 FLT CREW EXPERIENCED AIRFRAME VIBRATION APPROACHING LEVELOFF. SPEED WAS REDUCED AND VIBRATION DISSIPATED AND DID NOT RETURN.
Narrative: NEARING LEVELOFF AT FL280; WE EXPERIENCED A STRONG AIRFRAME VIBRATION AT 310 KIAS. SLOWED TO 280 KTS AND VIBRATION STOPPED. NO FURTHER OCCURRENCE. FOLLOWED SOP. LANDED NORMALLY.
