Narrative:
While deviating for multiple thunderstorm cells around and west of tomsn intersection as well as building weather directly in our descent path; we crossed in the vicinity of tomsn roughly 5000 feet high. We were given direct hygen intersection to cross 15 west at FL190 and 250 knots which dumped tomsn intersection from the FMC. We then were given a left turn to join the fqf 306 radial less than 2 minutes later because of WX between us and hygen. We were then cleared to cross abeam tomsn at FL190 and 250 KTS approximately 2 minutes later. Weather in our descent path appeared to have rapid vertical development so we felt it was unsafe to initiate descent at that point. Trying to configure the FMC 3 times in that short of period of time caused us to omit telling ATC in a timely manner we were not going to be able to meet the crossing restriction due to weather. We were then given a den center phone number to call once on the ground. I think it was a matter of trying to comply with 3 different ATC clearances in a short period of time while trying to evaluate the weather and determine the safest descent path to avoid dangerous and rapidly changing WX.

Title: AN ACR PILOT REPORTS 3 ATC CLEARANCES WHILE DESCENDING TO DEN IN RAPIDLY CHANGING WX AND MISSING DESCENT CROSSING RESTRICTIONS.
Narrative: WHILE DEVIATING FOR MULTIPLE THUNDERSTORM CELLS AROUND AND WEST OF TOMSN INTERSECTION AS WELL AS BUILDING WEATHER DIRECTLY IN OUR DESCENT PATH; WE CROSSED IN THE VICINITY OF TOMSN ROUGHLY 5000 FEET HIGH. WE WERE THEN CLEARED TO CROSS ABEAM TOMSN AT FL190 AND 250 KTS APPROX 2 MINUTES LATER.
