Kingston sector (ZBW sector 20) requested aircraft to descend to FL380 with control for lower. I complied and immediately observed the conflict. I attempted to keep aircraft at altitude.

Narrative: KINGSTON SECTOR (ZBW SECTOR 20) REQUESTED ACFT TO DSND TO FL380 WITH CTL FOR LOWER. I COMPLIED AND IMMEDIATELY OBSERVED THE CONFLICT. I ATTEMPTED TO KEEP ACFT AT ALT.
