Narrative:
Unlike other major airports with confusing; and crossing; runways; boston logan stands alone in not having adequate hold short lighting for most runways; most intxns. This airport has numerous taxi hot spots which require extensive briefing; in addition to multiple and cascading taxi closures due to repaving. Yet; there are no wig-wag lights; amber hold short lights; or (better yet) stop bars for most taxiway/runway intxns. None for the approach end of runway 22R; none for holding short of runway 22R on taxiway C when taxiing clear of runway 27. Think of visibility at night in the rain or fog; and please commiserate with the poor pilot who is trying to see a painted line which does not reflect in standing water. Perhaps this airport is planning on putting lights in; but it has taken far too long. If runway incursions are a hot item; then adequate markings would seem to be the cheapest insurance for clarity during taxi.
