Narrative:
There was WX in the brunswick sector (R53 ZJX) over the stary intersection. I gave clearance to aircraft X off of bqk (golden isles); climbing to 3000 ft. The pilot checked in; asking to deviate right. I cleared aircraft X to 5000 ft and direct hxd (hilton head) when able. Aircraft Y called ready to depart at ssi (malcom mckinnon). I thought I had separation and released him climbing to 3000 ft. Aircraft X deviated due south of the WX into my aircraft (aircraft Y) climbing out on departure. I thought aircraft X would want to go north for the WX and I did not specify which way or how much he could deviation. The airports are so close together; it is '1 in; 1 out' to keep aircraft separated. The airports were backed up and I felt pressure to release them as quickly as possible. I do not know what/if any evasive actions were taken because I was giving a position relief briefing during that time. The relieving controller was at the sector when separation was lost and I do not know how many mi/ft separation was lost.

Title: ZJX CTLR EXPERIENCED OPERROR AT APPROX 3000 WHEN NON SPECIFIC WX DIVERT INSTRUCTIONS RESULTED IN UNEXPECTED TURNS AND SEPARATION LOSS.
Narrative: THERE WAS WX IN THE BRUNSWICK SECTOR (R53 ZJX) OVER THE STARY INTXN. I GAVE CLRNC TO ACFT X OFF OF BQK (GOLDEN ISLES); CLBING TO 3000 FT. THE PLT CHKED IN; ASKING TO DEVIATE R. I CLRED ACFT X TO 5000 FT AND DIRECT HXD (HILTON HEAD) WHEN ABLE. ACFT Y CALLED READY TO DEPART AT SSI (MALCOM MCKINNON). I THOUGHT I HAD SEPARATION AND RELEASED HIM CLBING TO 3000 FT. ACFT X DEVIATED DUE S OF THE WX INTO MY ACFT (ACFT Y) CLBING OUT ON DEP. I THOUGHT ACFT X WOULD WANT TO GO N FOR THE WX AND I DID NOT SPECIFY WHICH WAY OR HOW MUCH HE COULD DEV. THE ARPTS ARE SO CLOSE TOGETHER; IT IS '1 IN; 1 OUT' TO KEEP ACFT SEPARATED. THE ARPTS WERE BACKED UP AND I FELT PRESSURE TO RELEASE THEM AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT/IF ANY EVASIVE ACTIONS WERE TAKEN BECAUSE I WAS GIVING A POS RELIEF BRIEFING DURING THAT TIME. THE RELIEVING CTLR WAS AT THE SECTOR WHEN SEPARATION WAS LOST AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY MI/FT SEPARATION WAS LOST.
