Narrative:

After landing on runway 25L at lax (runway 25R was closed) the first officer cleared the runway at the first viable high-speed (first officer was landing). As we cleared the runway I took the aircraft and called for the after landing checklist. Tower cleared us to cross runway 25R and to contact ground. After crossing the runway we were approaching the intersection of txwys P and B. As we were crossing the runway I noticed a B747-400 turning onto taxiway B from taxiway south. He was taxiing at a fast speed and I became concerned that he would be a conflict with us. After we switched to ground; the controller asked our gate and then told us to hold short. The B747 was still taxiing toward us at a high rate of speed. Ground asked him if he was going to hold short of taxiway P as instructed. I stopped with my nose just in the intersection; and he finally stopped just short of hitting us. Neither of us could continue to taxi until a tug was called to push our aircraft out of the intersection. He continued to taxi without comment.

Title: B757 CAPT REPORTS GROUND CONFLICT WITH B747 AT TXWYS P AND B AFTER CROSSING RWY 25R. A TUG IS REQUIRED BEFORE TAXI CAN CONTINUE.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 25L AT LAX (RWY 25R WAS CLOSED) THE FO CLRED THE RWY AT THE FIRST VIABLE HIGH-SPD (FO WAS LNDG). AS WE CLRED THE RWY I TOOK THE ACFT AND CALLED FOR THE AFTER LANDING CHKLIST. TWR CLRED US TO CROSS RWY 25R AND TO CONTACT GND. AFTER XING THE RWY WE WERE APCHING THE INTXN OF TXWYS P AND B. AS WE WERE XING THE RWY I NOTICED A B747-400 TURNING ONTO TXWY B FROM TXWY S. HE WAS TAXIING AT A FAST SPD AND I BECAME CONCERNED THAT HE WOULD BE A CONFLICT WITH US. AFTER WE SWITCHED TO GND; THE CTLR ASKED OUR GATE AND THEN TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT. THE B747 WAS STILL TAXIING TOWARD US AT A HIGH RATE OF SPD. GND ASKED HIM IF HE WAS GOING TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY P AS INSTRUCTED. I STOPPED WITH MY NOSE JUST IN THE INTXN; AND HE FINALLY STOPPED JUST SHORT OF HITTING US. NEITHER OF US COULD CONTINUE TO TAXI UNTIL A TUG WAS CALLED TO PUSH OUR ACFT OUT OF THE INTXN. HE CONTINUED TO TAXI WITHOUT COMMENT.
