Narrative:
Idented wrong component on work card X; pitot static line check; step #9. Idented cabin pressure switch instead of differential pressure indicator to remove cap and connect static pressure source line. Supplemental information from acn 762602: idented wrong component on work card X pitot static lk check; step #9; instead of differential pressure indicator. In the future; ensure all steps of maintenance manual are followed. Callback conversation with reporter acn #762602 revealed the following information: reporter stated the job card identified the incorrect part to connect the static pressure source line to. This job card has been revised. The static pressure source line was properly connected and the static leak check was accomplished without any further problems.
