Narrative:

On lead-in line for gate had to slam on brakes to avoid a tug and baggage cart. Risked serious flight attendant injury! The driver of the tug looked directly at the airplane and cut off the heavy B767. This was reported immediately to the ramp who seemed not interested. Followed up with ACARS report to station. This continues to be a disturbing trend especially at the large hubs.
