Narrative:
This is a continuing problem. Taxiway a and the approach end of runway 10L are poorly marked. Aircraft continue to taxi beyond the entrance to the runway and utilize taxiway J and taxiway Z. Taxiway Z is clearly marked as a taxiway; not a runway. Aircraft should enter runway 10L on taxiway a but continue to use taxiway J and taxiway Z. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter advised that the problem isn't incursions; per southeast; but aircraft cleared into position or for takeoff choosing the longer route and thus disrupting inbounds for the runway. Reporter also believes these aircraft are improperly using taxiway Z as a runway extension rather than a taxiway; using it for acceleration purposes prior to the runway threshold. He stated almost exclusively air carrier type aircraft are utilizing the longer taxi; apparently to garner extra runway length. The txwys are currently equipped with stop lines on a and J; as well as wig wags at the J stop line and red signs identifying the taxiway as in the approach path of runway 10L. In addition there is a sign directing a left turn on taxiway a from the parallel taxiway.

Narrative: THIS IS A CONTINUING PROB. TXWY A AND THE APCH END OF RWY 10L ARE POORLY MARKED. ACFT CONTINUE TO TAXI BEYOND THE ENTRANCE TO THE RWY AND UTILIZE TXWY J AND TXWY Z. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: REPORTER ADVISED THAT THE PROBLEM ISN'T INCURSIONS; PER SE; BUT ACFT CLEARED INTO POSITION OR FOR TKOF CHOOSING THE LONGER ROUTE AND THUS DISRUPTING INBOUNDS FOR THE RWY.
