Narrative:
Working sector at FL240 and above. B737 handed off climbing to FL230 and A319 not handed off yet. The B737 had not yet checked in and I observed the other limited data block converging and climbing through FL220. I called in the blind for the B737 and the pilot answered; 'sorry; forgot to check on.' I climbed the aircraft and observed it leaving FL230 with the limited at FL230 approximately 3-4 mi lateral. Many times; 2 different sectors at approach make handoffs and they may not have coordination or have missed the conflict. I observed the A319 target turn sharply to the left.

Narrative: WORKING SECTOR AT FL240 AND ABOVE. B737 HANDED OFF CLBING TO FL230 AND A319 NOT HANDED OFF YET. THE B737 HAD NOT YET CHKED IN AND I OBSERVED THE OTHER LIMITED DATA BLOCK CONVERGING AND CLBING THROUGH FL220. I CALLED IN THE BLIND FOR THE B737 AND THE PLT ANSWERED; 'SORRY; FORGOT TO CHK ON.' I CLBED THE ACFT AND OBSERVED IT LEAVING FL230 WITH THE LIMITED AT FL230 APPROX 3-4 MI LATERAL. MANY TIMES; 2 DIFFERENT SECTORS AT APCH MAKE HDOFS AND THEY MAY NOT HAVE COORD OR HAVE MISSED THE CONFLICT. I OBSERVED THE A319 TARGET TURN SHARPLY TO THE L.
