Narrative:

Met captain and relief pilot in operations to print and review paperwork. Captain reviewed aircraft maintenance on the computer; reviewed logbook at the aircraft and apparently missed the write-up requiring an oil verification. After our trip was over; captain received a call from the captain who picked up the aircraft. He said that the write-up was not clear; so he had maintenance look at it. Maintenance determined that an oil verification was required. Without seeing the logbook and the write-up; I can't say why we missed it; except maybe that seeing the ETOPS signoff may have provided a false sense of security that the logbook was reviewed by maintenance and the aircraft was ready to complete the ETOPS segment.
