Narrative:
We took off out of ZZZ and on departure heard a bang from the #1 engine and smelled a burnt rubber smell. Engine indications were all normal except that the #1 engine vibration indicator was at 5 and you could hear vibration on the #1 engine. We leveled off at 12000 ft and investigated the problem. The burnt smell went away; but there was still a large vibration in the #1 engine. The captain and I decided to divert to ZZZ. ATC descended us and started us on vectors for the ILS on runway xxr. We landed uneventfully on runway xxr; shut down the #1; and taxied to the gate.
