Narrative:

After experiencing difficulty getting a reverser to deploy on landing rollout I was attempting to confirm a problem before making a logbook entry. When moving the reverse lever at the gate I inadvertently deployed the reverser. I neglected to consider that the accumulator could still power it. It was a thoughtless thing to do and it is lucky no one was injured and nothing damaged. All troubleshooting at the gate should be performed by maintenance personnel.
