Narrative:

On descent; the dispatch release noted a planned altitude over fmg VOR at 6000 ft MSL. This provides only 20 ft of clearance with terrain as the VOR is located on top of a mountain with an elevation of 5980 ft MSL. We determined that altitude would not provide safe terrain separation and flew accordingly. All company flight plans need to have arrival altitudes scrubbed and corrected to prevent unsafe altitudes on flight plans. Dispatch flight plan shows fmg altitude at 6000 ft MSL; fmg VOR is located on peak at 5980 ft.
