Narrative:
Announced that I was departing runway 31 when in fact I took off runway 13. Helicopter in the pattern. The helicopter was not using his radio. Only radio transmission I heard was when I was getting ready to rotate. Aircraft transmission said he was taken off runway 36. There is no runway 36 at airport so I didn't think anything of it. As I'm going down the runway; me and the helicopter take evasive action to avoid each other. The helicopter claims he made radio calls but I didn't hear them. WX was favoring runway 31 but got mixed up on the taxiway and took off runway 13. I have been retrained in airport operations and take further action that this will not happen again.
