Narrative:
Preflight; run-up; and departure out of ZZZ1 was normal. The en route and 2 earlier missed approachs at ZZZ airport were normal. On the 3RD approach; we decided to make a touch and go instead of a low approach. After landing during the touch and go at ZZZ airport; the engine was unable to produce sufficient thrust for flight and the takeoff was aborted. We were unable to clear the aircraft in a timely manner from the runway. We advised tower of our intentions and the nature of the delay in exiting the runway. We taxied the aircraft clear of the runway without further problem.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A C182 REJECTED A TOUCH AND GO TKOF BECAUSE OF LOW POWER AND WAS UNABLE TO QUICKLY CLR THE RWY.
Narrative: PREFLT; RUN-UP; AND DEP OUT OF ZZZ1 WAS NORMAL. THE ENRTE AND 2 EARLIER MISSED APCHS AT ZZZ ARPT WERE NORMAL. ON THE 3RD APCH; WE DECIDED TO MAKE A TOUCH AND GO INSTEAD OF A LOW APCH. AFTER LNDG DURING THE TOUCH AND GO AT ZZZ ARPT; THE ENG WAS UNABLE TO PRODUCE SUFFICIENT THRUST FOR FLT AND THE TKOF WAS ABORTED. WE WERE UNABLE TO CLR THE ACFT IN A TIMELY MANNER FROM THE RWY. WE ADVISED TWR OF OUR INTENTIONS AND THE NATURE OF THE DELAY IN EXITING THE RWY. WE TAXIED THE ACFT CLR OF THE RWY WITHOUT FURTHER PROB.
