Narrative:
Prior to departure from ZZZ I was notified by another pilot of a NOTAM for the ZZZ abc departure. It is 2.9 DME from ZZZ VOR turn left 040. The NOTAM on the flight plan had us using 7.8 from ZZZ1. The other pilot questioned ATC about this and was told not to use ZZZ1 VOR. When we called for clearance we asked and were told to use ZZZ VOR. I sent a message to dispatch asking what was up. They (dispatch) advised that last week the ZZZ VOR was inoperative and ZZZ1 VOR was being used. It should have been changed a week ago.
