Narrative:
Lost right engine driven hydraulic pump. Complied with very simple irregular checklist. Still had right hydraulic system courtesy of the right electric driven pump. Just prior to downwind leg for ZZZ; lost the entire right system. Complied with simple irregular checklist. Conference with dispatch and maintenance control not appropriate for #2 in the traffic pattern for visual approach considering the zero impact that loss of the right hydraulic system has on the safe operation of the aircraft on a dry 12000 ft runway with winds at 4 KTS. Final analysis: uneventful situation.
